A Quebec Webex reseller connects 40+ car dealerships to their CRM, automatically logging every call and capturing every new lead in Activix.
Voysis has provided Cisco Webex phone systems to businesses across Quebec for 18 years, with a strong focus on the car dealership space. When their dealership customers asked for an integration with Activix, the dominant CRM in Quebec's automotive sector, no native option existed. Devpro built one: a webhook-based bridge that listens to every Webex call event and writes it automatically into Activix, logging the call direction, duration, and recording URL, and creating the lead if the number isn't in the system yet. The integration now serves 40+ dealerships and 200+ sales reps across North America.

What Problem Was Voysis Trying to Solve?
Voysis provides Cisco Webex to car dealerships across Quebec, but Activix, the CRM most of those dealerships run on, had no native Webex integration. Call activity was invisible to management: there was no automatic logging, no way to see whether calls were being answered, and no system to create a lead when an unknown number called in.
- No Webex-Activix integration. Cisco Webex and Activix operate as entirely separate systems. There was no native bridge, no third-party connector, and no path for call events to flow automatically into the CRM.
- Sales rep activity was opaque. Dealership managers had no visibility into call direction, duration, or outcome. Whether a rep answered a customer call or let it ring out, nothing was logged.
- New leads fell through the cracks. When an unknown number called in, nothing happened in the CRM. There was no automatic lead creation, so inbound inquiries were routinely missed unless a rep manually entered them.
What Did Devpro Build for Voysis?
Devpro built a webhook integration that listens to call events from Cisco Webex and writes them automatically into Activix. Each incoming or outgoing call triggers a lookup against the CRM: if the contact exists, the call is logged against their record; if not, a new lead is created. Every relevant data point, call direction, duration, outcome, and recording URL, is written to Activix in real time. The integration is secured by API key authentication, with Webex users mapped directly to their Activix counterparts so every event lands in the right place.
Webex call event webhook
A webhook listener registered against Cisco Webex that receives every call event in real time: incoming, outgoing, answered, missed, transferred, and ended. No polling, no manual exports.
API key authentication
The webhook endpoint is secured with API key authentication, ensuring only Devpro's integration can write to the CRM. Simple, lightweight, and appropriate for a server-to-server integration with a controlled publisher. For multi-tenant scenarios requiring delegated access, see our guide on OAuth 2.0 authentication.
Webex-to-Activix user mapping
Each Webex user (phone extension or DID) is mapped to their corresponding Activix sales rep. When a call event arrives, the integration routes it to the right CRM user automatically, regardless of which car dealership or branch the rep belongs to.
Automatic lead creation
When a call comes in from a number that doesn't exist in Activix, the integration creates a new lead automatically, attaching the call record to it. No unknown caller falls through the cracks.
Full call event logging
Every logged call record includes direction (inbound/outbound), duration, outcome (answered/missed), and the recording URL, giving dealership managers complete visibility into sales rep activity directly from their CRM.
